Brooks Rabon

W. Brooks Rabon, age 91, of Goose Creek, South Carolina passed away, surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 and is now at home with his Lord. Brooks was born in Tabor City, North Carolina on November 13, 1931 to Waylon and Ethel Rabon.

Brooks enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1951, he faithfully served his country for 4 years as a Aircraft Mechanic. He later returned to Charleston to work in Civil Service at the Airforce Base, he worked there for many year as a crew supervisor before retiring. After retiring he worked for 20 years at Crowfield Plantation, which was more of a hobbys. He enjoyed it and was able to work on many projects with two of his best friends. His many focus in life was serving our Lord and Savior. He served as a Deacon at Remount Baptist and later to most recent at Crowfield Baptist Church. He loved and cherished Frankie, his wife of 66 years. He also greatly enjoyed spending time with this grandkids and great grandkids. Brooks will be dearly missed and forever loved by those who knew him.

Brooks is survived by Frankie Rabon his wife of 66 years; his son Buddy Rabon; his daughter Robin Wilson (Hal); 5 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren; his sister Pat Brown (Keith) and many nieces and nephews.

Brooks was preceded in death by his brother Delmas Rabon; his sisters Bernice Gunter and Brookie Robbs; and his grandsons Benjie Wilson and Tony Portillo.

A Visitation at Crowfield Baptist Church for Brooks will be held Sunday, September 17, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. A Celebration Of Life service at Crowfield Baptist Church will occur Sunday, September 17, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM, 100 Hunters Ln, Goose Creek, SC 29445. An interment at Carolina Memorial Gardens 7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29406 will occur Sunday, September 17, 2023.

In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made out to Helping Hands of Goose Creek.
