Carla Jameson COLUMBIA – Carla Lowery Jameson, 72, of Columbia SC, wife of Robert “Bobby” Jameson of 23 years, passed peacefully on Saturday, 07/15/2023. She was a devoted wife, proud mother, and loving grandmother. She was an active member in her and Bobby’s church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a retired bookkeeper from Coward-Hund Construction of Charleston. She was known for having a heart the size of Texas, and always being willing to put others before herself. She enjoyed spending time with her family and doing things to help others. She loved baking and hosting family gatherings. Some of her famous recipes are blueberry pie, poppy seed bread, and Christmas cookies.

Born on August 21, 1950, in Columbus, Georgia, Carla was the daughter of the late Ella Lee Owen and the late James Cleveland Lowery, Sr. She was lovingly raised by her mother and her stepfather, the late James “Jim” Owen. She was predeceased by her older brother, James Cleveland Lowery, Jr.

She is survived by her husband, Bobby, her brother Walter Owen and his wife Cheryl of Ruckersville, VA.; her brother Bill Lowery and his wife Kim of Denham Springs, LA, and her sisters Jill Vallet and Lil Monson (husband Kenny) of Baton Rouge, LA; her children from her first marriage to George Richard Dandridge: Ashley Dandridge Grace (husband Wayne) of Summerville SC, Reagen Dandridge Desilets (husband Roger) of Goose Creek SC, and Jason Taylor Dandridge (wife Megan) of Summerville, SC.; her stepchildren Donald Jameson (wife Jean) of Biloxi, MS and Pam Rousa (husband Mike) of Mt. Pleasant, SC.; and her grandchildren: Caroline Ann Grace and Wayne Keith Grace, III of Summerville,SC ; Matthew Lee Dandridge of Hanahan, SC; Taylor Maria Desilets and Tobias Elijah Desilets of Goose Creek, SC; Thomas Blake Dandridge of Pensacola, FL; Kristalyn Grace Dandridge and Levi Carver Dandridge of Summerville, SC; and Christopher Skinner (wife Sarah) of Columbia, SC.

A Life Well Celebrated Service will take place at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 8720 Antler Drive, North Charleston for Carla Jameson will be held Thursday, July 20, 2023 at 1:00 PM. Burial to follow at Carolina Memorial Gardens.
