Catherine Henrietta Reeve

Catherine H. Lahmeyer Reeve, 97, entered into eternal rest on Friday, December 5, 2025. Catherine was born in downtown Charleston on January 13, 1928. She was the wife of her childhood sweetheart and late husband of 61 years, Edward H. Reeve. She was the daughter of her late parents LeRoy Lahmeyer and Mildred Alice Emerson.

Catherine was a doting wife and mother. She was very active in her childrens' lives especially when they were young. She enjoyed swimming and diving and could be caught on the diving board up until she was 95. She enjoyed cooking and cleaning so much that she went on to do it professionally for many years. She was a very active member at Advent Luthern Church for her entire life. Her spirit will continue to be present in the lives of family and friends.

She is survived by her daughters Joy Ann Smith and her husband Robert E. Smith of North Charleston, SC; Kathy Reeve Thompson and her husband John W. Thompson of Honey Hill, SC; Sylvia Reeve Garland of Goose Creek, SC; 9 grandchildren and 5 great grand children. She was preceded in death by her husband Edward H. Reeve, and sons Dan Reeve and Don E. Reeve.

The family wishes to thank Amedisys for all of their help during this difficult time. Their supportive care and hospice services gave Catherine and the family the extra care and services that she required during this transitional time.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to St. Jude Children's Hospital.

No services will be held for Catherine.
