Relatives and friends of Cynthia Kaye Mims (Hoagland) are invited to attend her Celebration of Life Service at 12 Noon, Saturday, December 14, 2024, at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home, 7113 Rivers Ave., North Charleston, SC 29406. In lieu of floral pieces, home arrangements and green plants are preferred.
Kaye was born in Charleston, South Carolina on September 14, 1954. She was the daughter of Willie T. and Eunice Mims.
She retired from business administration in 2021and enjoyed spending summer days at Folly Beach, participating in family guided nature walks in the Blue Ridge Mountains; sketching/coloring, taking impromptu car rides and scenic photos and attending local music events with her friends. She loved nature and all that lied within it. Kaye was a Christian and believed in our lord Jesus Christ. She was a staunch lover of all music, however, if you tune your radio stations to Classic Rock of the 60s and 70s, those close to her undoubtedly can hear her singing along. When she laughed it was infectious and when she loved it was with her whole heart. For those who read this (or those who do not) she wanted you to know that she loved you all dearly. She was saddened she had to leave this life abruptly, but felt some peace that she would see you all again in the next life. Until then, we can remember and celebrate her life in the ways we know she would have wanted.
Kaye is survived by her son, Justin Murray and his wife, Lainey Hayes Murray; her brother, Roger Mims and his wife, Patricia; her sister, Debra Deal (Mims) and her husband, Edward, as well as many extended family members abound.
Arrangements by CAROLINA MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 7113 Rivers Ave., North Charleston, SC 29406.
