Douglas John Sayer

Mr. Douglas John Sayer, SKCS,USN, Ret.75,of North Charleston,SC, husband of Carol Moulton Sayer, entered into eternal rest on Saturday June 28, 2014. The family will receive friends at CAROLINA MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME , Monday evening from Five until Seven PM. Private funeral to be held on Tuesday. Doug was born May 12, 1939 in Ogdensburg, NY to the late Arnold Kenneth Sayer and Agreta Miles Sayer. He retired after 23 of years service in the U.S. Navy and also retired from the Charleston Naval Hospital. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Carol Sayer, children: Rev. Robert Sayer, McCormick, SC, Ronald Sayer (Kathryn) Hanahan, SC, Debra Metts (Keith) North Charleston, SC and Cindy Peek (Scott) North Charleston, SC, grandchildren: Ronald Sayer Jr. (Virginia), Justin Sayer (fiancé Tyler), Trey Metts (Megan), Madison Peek, Avery Peek , and eagerly awaiting the birth of his first great granddaughter, Finley. Sister in law: Janice Sayer, Lisbon, NY and niece: Jeorji Cooksey Ogdensburg, NY. He is preceded in death by his mother, father and brother Donald Sayer.
