

Eduardo was born in Lingayen, Pangasinan, Philippines, where he spent his early years and attended Lingayen High School. He was the beloved son of the late Fortunata Malicdem Cruz and Andres Cruz, and brother to the late Romeo Cruz.
On January 14, 1970, Eduardo married the love of his life, Naty Cruz. Together, they have shared more than five decades of marriage filled with devotion, family, and cherished memories. He also leaves behind his sister, Gloria Cruz; and his three children: Eduardo Cruz Jr., Gemma Cruz, and Bobby (Regina) Cruz. He was also a proud and devoted grandfather to Gabriella Helm, Tyler Davis, Brandon Cruz, Sean Davis, and Sophia Cruz.
Eduardo proudly served his country as an electrician in the United States Navy, from which he later retired. His dedication, discipline, and strong work ethic carried through every stage of his life and left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
In his quieter moments, Eduardo enjoyed watching basketball and wrestling, but his greatest and fondest moments were being able to watch his grandchildren play sports—cheering them on at games and tournaments with pride and enthusiasm.
Eduardo will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his dedication to his military service, and the kindness he showed to those around him.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed immediately by a chapel service, at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home, located at 7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, South Carolina 29406. Eduardo will be laid to rest following the service at Carolina Memorial Gardens.
