He is survived by his daughter, Angela, his grandchildren Rachel, Zoey and Eli, his mother and father Philip and Barbara Canant, his sister Delores, his brother Tony and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Beatrice and George Spivey.
Edward served in the United States Army for 20 years, worked for Colleton County animal control for 10 years and served on the Colleton County Sheriff's Department for 5 years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved riding horses, working outside and was a talented taxidermist and carpenter. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and telling jokes.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 11 am to 12 noon. The Life Well Celebrated Service will begin at 12 noon in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in the Carolina Memorial Park with Army Military Honors.
