To Our Dad
Parents do not come with orders,
You've raised four sons, you've raised three daughters.
We had a good mother. We had a good father.
No one could have tried harder.
All our needs were always provided.
Our wants too, you could not hide it.
A better father, there could never be,
Than the one God provided me.
We shared laughter, Joy and pain.
Rest well Dad, we'll meet again.
As you embark on your way from here
We hope your journey, was free from fear.
You were guided to your heavenly rest.
Find peace, dear Dad. You've done your best.
As you walk, into the light.
God said, 'Well done!' Elijah Wright.
