Frances M Marks

Frances Marks, 70, of Goose Creek, SC, entered into eternal rest on December 4, 2015. She was an avid reader, loved cooking for her family, and hosting social events. She was a member of Park Circle Presbyterian Church and greatly enjoyed attending Wednesday prayer luncheons. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi for over 50 years where she held many offices. She cherished her time as a foster parent for several local children. She is survived by her husband, Melvin, daughters Rebekah Blacklocke (Mark) of Summerville, SC, Lacey Davies (Rob) of Forgandenny, Scotland, and Emily Marks of Hanahan, SC. Other surviving family include her sister, Ann Andrews (Billy) of Melbourne, FL, two granddaughters, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Frances was predeceased by her parents, Rev. Roy O. and Marguerite McClenny and brother Ray Godwin. Visitation will take place from 6-8 p.m., Friday, December 11, 2015 at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home, 7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, S.C. 29406 with a memorial service at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 12, 2015 at Carolina Memorial followed by a private graveside service.
