Georgia Hamilton LADSON ­ Georgia S. Hamilton 97, widow of the late Freddie L. Hamilton of Ladson, SC died Wednesday, August 16, 2017. Born in Branchville, SC , she was the daughter of the late William Hill Smoak and Leila Elise Myers Smoak. Besides her husband and parents , she was predeceased by her brothers, Alton Smoak, Lewis Smoak, Francis Smoak, Cecil Smoak and sisters, Jennie Tidwell, Mary Dorman, Daisy Smoak and Jackie Fersner and great granddaughter, Zoey Hamilton. Mrs. Hamilton was a member of Old Fort Baptist Church, Summerville, SC and was a homemaker. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and a friend to all. She was loved by all who knew her and her devotion to Jesus Christ was reflected in her life. Georgia is survived by her son, Jimmie (Cindy) Hamilton of West Columbia, SC, daughters Linda (Larry) Hood and Shirley (Wayne) Hinson both of Eutawville, SC. Sisters , Leila Gray of Pennsylvania and Dot Driggers of North Charleston. Grandchildren, Tammy Hood, Larry Hood, Jr., Allison Bullock, Eric Hamilton, Sean Hamilton, Casey Hinson, Patrick Hinson and 6 great grandchildren. The service will be held at 11 am, Saturday, August 19, 2017 at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29406. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Old Fort Baptist Church, 10505 Dorchester Rd., Summerville, SC 29485 or the charity of one's choice.
