Jean Gold

Jean was born on September 26, 1940, to the late Dave and Essie Seegers in Sumter SC.

She is survived by her three sons, Randy (Tina) their children Katelyn, Randy, Lucas, and Tucker, David (Julie), their children Raleigh (Hope), Joe (Amelia), Malea Shekell (Austin), and Joshua. Richard Gold (Caryn), their children Charlotte Conejo (Alvin), Lora Johnson (Dustyn), Hunter Gold, and Travis Gold. Her great grandchildren Landon and Carolina Conejo, Ellorie and Callahan Gold, Oliva Johnson, and Tate Gold, and Hynlee Jo Shekell due in February.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband Randy Gold, her parents David and Dee Seegers, and her brothers, Marion, Lonny, George, Ray, and Roger, and her sisters Mildred, Judy, and Minnie.

Jean was a devoted follower of Jesus, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and Gigi to all her great grandchildren. She worked managing inventory at Parks Auto Parts in Goose Creek and a wedding cake decorator for many years. Her last job was working alongside her husband Randy as a bookkeeper, receptionist and keeping our dad on schedule with their company R & R Pest Control. Which is now Gold Guard pest control owned by their grandson Raleigh Gold.

Our mom and dad were amazing parents and grandparents. They together and apart lived exemplarily lives that glorified their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. They taught all of us how to love Jesus by the way they loved Jesus, how to love our wives and husbands by the way they loved each other, how to love our children by the way they loved us, and how to love our grandchildren and great grandchildren by the way they loved them. The impact that Jean had on our lives and many others is immeasurable and will be remembered and cherished all of our lives.

Visitation for all family will be on October 15 at 1:00 pm, followed by public visitation at 2:00 pm, funeral service at 3:00 pm followed by graveside.
