Mr. Jimmie J. Hannah

Jimmie J Hannah, 75 of Ladson passed away on Saturday, November 7, 2015. Jim was born on August 22, 1940 in Mayfield, Kentucky to Otis James Hannah and Virginia Mozelle Tibbs. He joined the Air Force soon after high school and faithfully served for twenty-one years including during the Vietnam War. It was during basic training when he met the love of his life, Shelley Anne Price to whom he was married to on May 9th 1960 and shared an amazing life together for over 55 years. After retiring from the Air Force, Jimmie graduated from Baptist College at Charleston with a teaching degree and taught at several area schools for many years. With his military background and leadership skills, he became an asset in the corporate world working for several large corporations and eventually retiring from Target Corporation. He was devoted to his family and always made them a priority. He was very active in his church, Ashley Heights Church of Christ. He was also a volunteer at the Air Force Base Pharmacy. He was President of his subdivision's homeowners group which he loved to help organize all the activities they would do. He loved to golf and play cards and spend time with his family. Throughout the years, he was known to support his daughters and grandchildren wherever he could whether it was coaching in bowling, being a scout leader, teaching them to play golf and chess or just listening to them with their problems. He was willing to help any way he could. He was predeceased by his parents, his brother Richard L Hannah and his son-in-law Jeffrey G Boyles. He leaves behind his wife of the home, his two daughters Shelley Renee Boyles of Summerville, and Rachelle Hannah Mondovich of Ayden, NC. Three grandchildren Alyssa Boyles Herndon (Chris) of Summerville, Tyler G Mondovich and Chase J Mondovich of Ayden NC and one nephew Rick Hannah,of Detroit and his loyal fur-kid Lexie.
