N. CHARLESTON -- Marion Elise Hester, 81, of North Charleston, a retired L.P.N. at the Coastal Center and widow of Melvin Lawrence Hester, Jr., entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, February 10, 2015. Her family and friends are invited to attend her funeral services on Thursday, February 12, 2015 at 1 p.m. at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior at the funeral home. She was born on April 10, 1933 in Greenwood, SC, a daughter of the late Charles W. Hipp. A retired L.P.N., she worked 19 years at the Coastal Center. She is survived by one son, David Hester (Vicki) of Summerville; two daughters, Kathryn Hoffman of North Charleston and Julie Snider (Keith) of Summerville. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild and one brother, John Thomas Hipp (Margaret) of Greenwood, SC.
