Mark Carlton Thompson, 55, of Richlands, NC, entered into eternal rest Thursday, December 25, 2014. Mark was an avid hunter and fisherman and a current member of the Bull Branch Hunting Club of Maple Hill, NC. He enjoyed reading and worked as a Landfill Scale Operator at Camp Lejuene, NC for 12 years. Before that he had worked at the Charleston Naval Base in Charleston, SC Mark is survived by his wife Linda W. Thompson, children: Caleb and Alexis, his mother: Willie Mae Thompson, sisters: Vicki Dangerfield (Dale), Dolores Lindley and Cindy Belvin (Noral) and many nieces and nephews. He is now at peace in the loving arms of our Heavenly Father. He was preceded in death by his father: Clyde E. Thompson. Funeral services will be private.
