Robert is survived by his son Robert Jr. (Alison) of Moncks Corner; his sisters Mary Avery of Charleston, and Nancy Burnham of Cottageville; his niece Cynthia Koster of Cottageville; his nephew Tracy Chambers of Hanahan; his great nephews Nicholas (Nicole) Koster of Round O, Christopher (Kortney) Crosby of Ravenel, Zachary Crowley of Ravenel, Cara Chambers of Hanahan, and Tristen Chambers of Hanahan; 1 great great niece; 4 great great nephews,3 step grandchildren Mary Gail-, Cynthia, and Rebecca all of Charleston.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents Leo and Emma Chambers; and his brother Jack Chambers.
Robert was a hardworking man. He faithfully served his country in the United States Air Force for 21 years as a Tech Sergeant, He then went on to work for the United State Postal Service for 30 years and retired from there. In his spare time he loved being outdoors. Some of his favorite pastimes were fishing, gardening and he also enjoyed sports. Robert will be dearly missed and forever loved by those who knew him.
A celebration of life will be held for Mr. Chambers on Saturday June 24, 2023 11 am at 1211 N. Hwy 52, Moncks Corner, SC 29461.
