Sandra Sasser Haddon February 13, 1955 - October 2, 2015 Mount Pleasant, SC Sandra Sasser Haddon, 60, of Mount Pleasant passed away Friday October 2, 2015 after a long illness. She was born February 13, 1955 in Greenville, SC the daughter of Roland W. Sasser, Jr. and Betty H. Sasser. She was devoted to her husband of 37 years. Sandra graduated from the University of South Carolina with a degree in early chilhood education. She spent the majority of her 30 plus year teaching career in the Charleston County schools of Jenny Moore Elementary and Lambs Elementary. Her love of teaching and impact on students is evidenced in all the connections she still has with her former students who have grown into young adults. Sandra enjoyed traveling to beautiful destinations, cooking, using her green thumb with her love of plants and orchids and spending time with her family and friends. In addtion to her father, she was predeceased by a brother-in-law, Will M. Goldfinch, III. She is survived by her husband, John W. Haddon; son, Preston R. Haddon of Thailand; daughter, Laura A. Haddon of Mt. Pleasant; brother, Rick W. Sasser and wife, Vicki Sasser of Evans, GA.; sister, Dianne S. Goldfinch of Murrells Inlet. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. at The Church at LifePark , 1151 George Browder Blvd., Mount Pleasant, SC 29466 (843)654-7600. on Friday, October 9, 2015. The family will receive friends from 1:30- 2:00 PM at the church prior to the 2:00 PM service.
