Juan Rios

Juan is survived by his adoring wife, Veronica Rios, his four inspiring children, Alex, Oscar, Juan Carlos and Diana, and his treasured granddaughters, Alina and Lucia.

Juan was the kind of fun-loving man that would give himself his own nickname by embracing the literal English translation of Juan Rios and calling himself Johnny Rivers. Johnny was spontaneous, goofy and the life of every party. He loved to sing karaoke, he always told jokes (mostly inappropriate), and if ever anyone needed anything, he would smile as he assured anyone that if money was needed, not to worry “aqui hay billetes!” - meaning “I got the cash!”. He was sure to make everyone smile and laugh.

More than jokes, he was a tremendous husband, a supportive father, an amazing grandfather, son and brother. He got great joy from providing everything he could for his family and everyone in his life. He was proud of showing his love and care through thoughtful gifts and meaningful gestures that were full of kindness and service. Juan would easily say he had two great accomplishments in his lifetime: The first was to realize his own American Dream through hard work and dedication. He worked since he was 14 and never stopped moving forward and progressing until his dreams came true of owning his own homes and business. Along with the success he produced in his career, he brought about his second big accomplishment: raising a big beautiful family with his encouraging and caring wife, Veronica. Juan was so proud of his wife. Together, they were strong and loyal companions who enjoyed a long-lasting loving relationship that many aspire to have. It was truly beautiful to witness.

The family will always remember the stories of his younger years “cuando se ponia loco” listening to his favorite American Classic Rock bands, or when he was happily enjoying the latest action-packed blockbuster movie, or when he would just sit at the table on the weekends watching old black & white Mexican movies, probably while wearing the most colorful happy print shirt he could find.

Juan, aka Johnny Rivers, was a hard worker and a strong father figure who committed himself to giving everything he had to give to his wife, children, nieces, nephews and all his family members. It will not be the same without him

His departure has left a big hole in our hearts, but he will be in our memories and hearts forever.
