This is my great uncle, the younger brother of my grandmother, who recently passed. She was named Paula. They were very close in age and came from a large family that moved to Chicago, around great depression times. Their family life was mostly unpleasant as they were poor and their parents lacked education and wealth and would fight often. Both parents coming from Appalachia area originally. He closely resembled his father. He was born deaf and my grandmother Paula hard of hearing. They were sent as children to live in downstate Illinois by the state, to live in a state school for the deaf. It was like an orphanage. Him and my grandmother were close and would light up when they saw each other joking and laughing and talking in sign language. I always wished I knew what they were saying. He had great energy! He exudeded life and joy! He will be missed. I hope him and my grandmother are together in heaven. They outlived all their siblings by 30 years or so, as they didn't smoke, drink or do drugs and kept a healthy active lifestyle.

I missed him so much. I never forgot he always teased me. He draws picture of me. I still have it. He dances in gold road and rejoice in Heaven. Mary.. My prayer for you and you always in my heart. I love you, Mary.  Paul in heaven, I love you and missed you.

It's my sincere condolences to the families and friends who know Paul closely.  It's been a real pleasure to have meet him and hang out with a funny and witty guy. He shares a wealth of experiences and knowledge of Jesus and His Word. May we all embrace the life he had and will have [in Heaven]!
