Roberto was a joyful and resilient soul who remained full of life despite the many challenges he faced. At just 22 days old, he developed a fever that led to seizures and resulted in cerebral palsy. Doctors once believed he would not live past the age of 10, but through the unwavering love and care of his family—and his own incredible strength—Roberto defied all expectations and lived a life that touched many.
He was a man who truly loved people. Roberto found happiness in music, television, and the simple joy of being around others. His warmth, spirit, and ability to smile through anything left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
Roberto is survived by his siblings and was able to meet his first nephew. He preceded in death by his beloved mother. He was the cherished son of Roberto Moreno and Maura Rivera Argueta.
In his final months, Roberto faced serious health challenges.
On February 17, he was admitted to the hospital due to pneumonia caused by aspiration, where he remained for a month. After a brief time at home, he was readmitted with the same condition. Doctors shared that the damage to his lungs had become too severe, and time was limited. When Roberto was extubated, it was believed he would pass quickly, but true to his resilient nature, he continued to fight and remained with his family for another week with minimal oxygen.
Roberto’s strength, courage, and enduring spirit were evident until his very last breath.
Our hope and prayer is that Roberto is now at peace, reunited with our mother, and resting in the presence of the Lord.
He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
