Its your birthday, you would have been 31.  Happy Birthday Chubby. I miss you more than you know.  It hurts like everyday. You’d still be here if Erika hadn’t moved herself into your dads room at our house. I love ya chuncks cant wait to see you again.

Its my 34th birthday and you aren’t here, i miss you everyday. So many things throughout the day that remind me of you, i think, ill tell him later, and i realize you arent here anymore, a new heartbreak all over again. :/ 

My beautiful Chubby, my hand trembles, my tears drown my eyes and my heart breaks all over again as I try to type. The day you took your last breath part of me died that day. Me and your dad were so proud of you and we made sure you knew that. You were my “ Gordito” and you would say to me “ ok mom, it’s all muscle”. I was so proud of the father that you were to Zoey. Every time I asked you to come up here and visit on holidays or special occasions you always said “ I can’t because I want to see Zoey or maybe next time I can bring Zoey with me to visit”. I know you loved Zoey with all your heart. I will make sure she always knows that. I know your in heaven Chubby because you were a good person. I wish I could hold you in my arms again and never let you go. I miss you so much my beautiful Chubby 💙🕊. Mommy loves you forever my beautiful son 💙. 

Sergio although you may never hear this, it was a great honor meeting you as an adult at Trader Joe’s  # 49 where I got to work with you for a while. I knew you when you were just a little boy but to meet you again and have you in my life as an adult was the sweetest pleasure to have to around. Your smile and laugh was so ever contiguous. I will miss that... I was hoping to see you again in the future and we could talk about our girls and share pictures.... my heart is broken as so many others I’m sure.... your service was beautiful and there was so many people that it goes to show just how much you were loved. Everyday I wake up thinking about my brother from another mother since 2017 till 2021 you solidified your presence as a brother in that short time we had a lot of the same obstacles I was a mess when I met Sergio and he would always knock it in my head I have a daughter to fight for he would check in on me randomly and I would too we’ve had our party moments and our brotherly arguments but none the less at the end of all that I will still shake his hand at the end and hug it out I had so much love for him and he would find away to get me to work with him even on off seasons he would look out for me !!! I don’t know but Sergio is the type of person that you can get along with real fast !!! His energy his attitude his kindness exceeded the popes !! And that’s for damn sure he didn’t have one bad vibe cause it was never a part of him anyways my condolences to everyone who came across Sergio if you did consider yourselves blessed for ever!!! Love you little bro better hold a spot for me when I get up there !!! Lettttssss Gooooo!!!

Our family was blessed to have you be apart of our memories. The times we shared are not enough. The memories we have will last our lifetime.  I’m missing you very much.

This one hurts, buddy. Thank you for being such a kind soul and for the good memories we shared. Including the time I made you take a million pictures of me the day we spent together in London.  Sorry about that one. You’ve given me memories and experiences I could never forget and your name has always been mentioned in those experiences I tell. Being around you was full of laughter, positivity, and generosity. I feel so blessed to have known you. May you Rest In Peace, love. 

There’s so many people that have come into my life yet I can say without a doubt, Sergio was the kindest and most positive spirit to be around. My heart breaks for all those that knew and loved Sergio because if you did, he really brought sunshine into your life. And the way he loved people, you all brought a lot of sunshine into his life. I will think of my brother every single day and he will be my motivation to always be kinder, work harder and be the best I can be to people because that’s what he always had the ability to do. Even on the hard days. Never cared for the afterlife but I’ve got something to look forward to. Because spending time with Sergio always makes you smile. 

I just want to offer my love and condolences to your Family. Sergio and I worked together on Big Brother at CBS  for many years.  I was devastated when I heard that Serge is no longer with us. I will miss him deeply in my heart and always cherish his positive energy and the beautiful person that he was. Tears.

I don't know how to put everything you meant to us into words. You were kind, funny, caring and family to us. We will miss you, always. Brothers to the end and beyond. 

He was a warrior of light and the most talented artist with a spray can. One of those people with magnetic qualities who always made you laugh or smile. You will always be in my heart little brother. 

Sergio, 
I don’t even know what to say or where to begin. We just saw you on Friday, we went for a hike and joked and laughed about all the things we wanted for our daughters future. 

As I sit here in debilitating sadness  I wish I could call you up and tell you I will take care of her. To tell you that I will move forward one step at a time to show her that true strength is sitting with your grief  and then rising from the ashes.  Moving forward not to forget about the love shared with a lost loved one  but rather to carry that love forward and share it with others. Using that grief as a tool for connecting and empathizing with those around you rather than a tool to build walls to keep them out. 

I promise she will always know how much you loved her and how you would’ve done anything to see her happy. 

I promise to water the seeds of creativity, curiosity and generosity that you so gratuitously planted before she could even talk. 

I promise to do everything in my power to break the cycles of self doubt, generational trauma and toxic coping that bonded you and I in the first place.

I promise to teach her that it is okay to feel her all of her emotions, even the hard ones, so that she doesn’t have to hide them in the dark corners of her mind to fester in the same way ours did. 

I promise to teach her to love without fear.

I promise to teach her the discernment to know who to share that love with.  

I promise you without a doubt that she will do more and be more than you or I ever could have imagined. 

We love you Sergio. And we miss you already.


The world seems a lot darker and lonelier knowing that you didn’t and will never wake up in it again. A lifetime was taken, a light was darkened, your laughter and smile was taken too soon. In my ignorance and pride i believed we had a lifetime of fights and disagreements left. The better part of me was torn from me. If i don’t accept it, and believe you’re still a call away will my phone ring? Will that chubby smile brighten my phone screen again just one more time.
