Barbara was an educator in New York City. She earned her undergraduate degree from Simmons College and was one of the first women to graduate from Harvard with a Master’s Degree in Education in 1957.
Barbara was a driving force behind the Women’s Tennis Association during the 1970’s and 1980’s. Her efforts helped bring about greater equality for women in sports.
Barbara was the proud mother of Leslie, Jonathan & Peter, as well as her two daughters-in-law Sigal and Kenny and her son-in-law David. She was a very proud grandmother of Samantha, Alex, Ian, Lindsay, Dylan, Daniel, Naomi & Kevin. She will be remembered with love by her two nieces, Beth and Brooke.

A Funeral Service will be held at Star of David Memorial Chapel, Main Chapel, 7701 Bailey Road, North Lauderdale, FL 33068, US, on April 17, 2026, at 2:45 pm.
