
Charlie was born on May 18th 1935 to Anne (Kaufman) and David Parness in the Bronx, NY. He graduated from Valley Stream High School, and graduated as a Mechanical Engineer from Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn. He was in the computer field, and helped write the program that trained the astronauts to land on the moon. He later became a consultant for such companies as IBM, Avon, UPS, the NY Stock Exchange, etc.
Charlie was very active in the communities in which he resided. He was president of Co-op City in the Bronx, and president of Ventnor O, the Ventnor Area Chair and president of COOVEE in Century Village Deerfield Beach, Florida.
He was married to his wife Sandra Naiman on February 15th,1958 during a blizzard in NYC.
Charlie is survived by his family who will miss him dearly. His cherished wife of 64 years Sandra, his loving sons Steven (Randi) and Andrew (Tara), his adoring grandchildren, Kelly (Sean), Michael, Ali, Lauren (Beau) and Andrea, His newest joys and great grandchildren Aliyah and a soon to arrive second great granddaughter. He is also survived by his brother Bernie, his sister-in-law Barbara and brother-in-law Tony and several nieces and nephews.
Charlie was loved by all who knew him and will be dearly missed. He never had an unkind word to say about anyone. He always had a smile on his face, and a story to share. He will be remembered as the kindest, most gentle man.
Graveside service will be on Tuesday at 10:30 am at Cedar Park and Beth El Cemetery 735 Forest Ave. Paramus, NJ.
The family will be sitting Shiva at Steven and Randi's house from 2 pm to 7 pm on Tuesday
