We are saddened by the loss of our beloved matriarch, Elaine Brittner (“Grams”), Mother of Bruce Silver (Kyla), Gwenn Blau (Gary), and Amy Schwaeber; Sister of Paul Schwartz; Grandmother of Jennifer Webster (Riley), Andrew Blau (Kristina), Geri Silver, Shelby Franco (Angel), Jordan Silver, and Rachel Ledbetter; Great-Grandmother to Mia Franco, Logan Webster, and Evan Webster. Elaine was preceded by her late husbands Gerald Silver and Stanley Brittner; Sisters Lillian Weitz and Francis Lewis. Elaine grew up in the Bronx and later moved to Sunrise, FL. She was a dedicated and long time employee for the Broward County Courts for over 30 years.
Elaine gathered a lifetime of friends who loved her. She was admired for her resilience and strength, and her love for chocolate. She made a tremendous impact on everyone who met her — touching many lives with uninhibited love and acceptance. Elaine had the amazing ability to make everyone feel special, offering the best advice, and would end every conversation with “What else is new?”. Elaine lit up the room with her smile, big hugs, humor, and the warmth she would bring to every conversation. To know her and be loved by her was an honor and she will be greatly missed.
