

Born on March 7, 1946, in Staten Island, New York, Ellen lived a life devoted to family, community, faith, and education. She worked for many years as a Hebrew school teacher, sharing her knowledge, warmth, and love of Jewish traditions with countless students. Ellen was also a dedicated political activist, tirelessly advocating for causes close to her heart and working to make a difference in her local community. Her strong voice, compassionate spirit, and
unwavering commitment to justice inspired all who knew her.
Ellen was a deeply social person who cultivated and cherished many friendships throughout her life. She had a remarkable ability to connect with people wherever she went, and her wide circle
of friends will remember her for her laughter, warmth, and unwavering support.
Ellen was preceded in death by her husband (Stanley Moltz from Philadelphia) and is survived by her son (Michael Moltz), daughter-in-law (Deborah Moltz), two grandchildren (Sarah and Samantha Moltz), and sister-in-law (Deborah Moltz), as well as three nieces (Dina, Lisa, and Cara).
A funeral service to honor Ellen’s life will be held on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at the Star of David Memorial Chapel, 7701 Bailey Road, North Lauderdale, FL 33068, from 2:45 pm to 3:15 pm. Following the service, a committal service will take place at the same venue from 3:15 pm to 3:45 pm.
Ellen’s legacy lives on in the many lives she touched through her teaching, activism, and friendships. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered
