Gertrude Resler, 100, of Brooklyn, New York, passed away peacefully on May 10, 2025. Born on April 10, 1925, Gerty lived a life filled with love, generosity, and devotion to her family and friends.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Alex, and her cherished son, Steven. Gerty was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, cousin, and friend. She found joy in shopping, reading, knitting, baking, and making those around her smile. Her warmth, kindness, and gentle spirit touched all who knew her.
She is survived by her daughter, Audrey (Howard); grandchildren, Jason (Alison) and Amanda (Justin); great-grandchildren, Miles and Lev; niece, Sheila (Bob) and their daughter, Eliana, along with many dear relatives and friends who will carry her memory in their hearts.
Gerty’s legacy of love and joy will live on in all who knew her.
