Karmiohl, Gloria, 85, of Coconut Creek, FL formerly of Jamaica, NY, passed away October 10, 2010. Gloria is survived by her daughter, Linda (Arthur)Sommer; daughter Judy Karmiohl (Eddie)Ehrlich, son Cliff (Naya)Karmiohl, grandchildren Jeremy (Mary Theresa)Sommer, Brad Sommer, and Emma Ehrlich, great-grandson Devyn Josef Sommer, sister Joan (Sol)Kornblum, and their three children, Gloria's nieces and nephews, Shelley, Jeffrey, and Kenneth; friend and beloved aid for the last 6 years - Janet Carter Robinson; and Gloria's companion, Chester Robbins.
Gloria was active in The National Council of Jewish Women for over 30 years, and had been co-president of the local chapter. Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers should be made to the National Council of Jewish Women/Coconut Creek Chapter.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Star of David Funeral Chapel on Thursday, October 14, 2010 at 2:15pm. Rabbi Suzanne Carter will officiate.
