Just a few words for a wonderful loving lady.

Years ago, my dad somehow made his way to a bar, ok let’s call it a restaurant, in Forest Hills and met this amazing lady.
So funny how when its right its right, well it was right for the both of them.  She brought out the best in my Dad Albert, they laughed like no others & made any day an adventure – even if it was chores.  They finally found their missing puzzle piece.

For me Susan was more then a “step mom” she proved to be more of a mother to me & she was also my friend.  She took me into their home when I was in High School, made me a bed and a space for me as there was no spare bedroom – but that didn’t make a difference, I was family.

I laugh, she kept my food choice list till the end, we used to try fool her by moving or hiding something in the kitchen to see if she notice, oh heck yes, she noticed!!! She made everyone something they loved at dinner time, Richie loved his French Fries, well there was fresh fries almost every night. 

As I got older, we developed an intimate friendship, as she did with everyone she knew.  I share my truths with her, my fears, my challenges and we talked them out. She was savvy SMART and so full of joy. And we were similar people in general which made our relationship that much better because we understood each others ways so well.  

Life was not always easy, there were pains to suffer thru, unimaginable losses a mother should never have to bear. But she came out with a smile, how did she do that?
 
 
All I can really say is she made my life richer – and I say that with confidence. 
 
I can see her now... all happy jittery excited as she STANDS on her FEET & SEES HERSELF In the MIRROR
for the first time in  along time    & ready’s herself to see my Dad, Richie and her mom.
 
And after a big welcome party up there, a dance or two with Dad and Richie – a family meal - I see her settling down with a BIG JUICY BOOK to read and getting comfy, she is home.

when I recall  my childhood memories of my aunt Harriet it is of a  a stunning stylish  woman with twinkling eyes & a great big smile that lit up a room! .. she was the first working single mom I knew & she & her boys , Jackie, Richie &  grandma Molly would come over  to our house in Brooklyn for backyard BBQ s.. she was always laughing & joyful & so upbeat .. she loved to crack jokes & she was  soo much fun  to be with !!  she was the COOL aunt !.. she was a very unique lady & very special to me ! I just loved being in her company!! I will always remember my aunt Harriets beautiful laughing face.. her warm affectionate heart & always having FUN FUN FUN when she was around! I will miss you aunt Harriet ..😘❌ 💝 

Mom Deb and I were so glad to have spent time with you last August. Our visit was very special to me. I'm so glad that you and my father met each other and had many years together. You made his life better for him knowing you. I'm sure my late wife Debbie and you are together in heaven ,she thought the world of you as do I. I consider you my second mom and will always love you. May you rest in eternal peace. Love you💖 mom.

Sue was a very “ special lady”, always with a beautiful smile  and  uplifting attitude. I would look forward to my Florida trips with my sister Connie & Joe  to see her & be in her company. We all laughed together  and formed great memories. She will be forever missed, I was lucky to have known her. She will be remembered fondly.
