Helen is survived by three children; Frances, Michael, and Kevin (Stacie), as well as four grandchildren; Christopher, Candice, Steven, and Liliana. Also surviving is a brother, Howard, and niece, Cheryl.
Helen graduated from New Carlisle High School and attended Purdue University. She retired from the South Bend Police Department in 2008, where she served with distinction as a police dispatcher for over 25 years. After two and a half years of retirement, she went back to work for Environmental Services, once again for the City of South Bend.
Helen was a member of the Sinai Synagogue and Sinai Sisterhood. She was a volunteer for Hospice House, as well as Saint Joseph Medical Center in Indiana. Helen finally enjoyed a true retirement in Southwest Florida.
