Helena Vivian St. Hill

Helena Vivien St Hill nee Goring was born on November 8th, 1940 in Trinidad. The first living child of Faustco Vernon Goring (deceased) and Margaret Reyes Goring (deceased) of Trinidad and Tobago. The wife of David St.Hill (deceased) and former wife of Oliver O’neil (deceased).

“Lyn” as she was called by most who knew her, is preceded in death by her parents Faustco (better known as Aala) and Margaret (better known as Margaret mom). Her husband David and infant son Anthony. Also, sisters Joan and Monica who passed away as infants and her younger sister Betty (Milton) Madge Seeberan nee Goring. She leaves behind to mourn her passing, her children Roger O’neil, Ronald St Hill and Dexter St Hill.

Her grandchildren Seth, Ronald Jr, Leilani, and Raina. Also her former daughter -in-law Karen Simpson.

Siblings: Oswald (Margaret) Goring, Judith Goring-Hinkson and Samuel Goring.

Nieces: Rhonda (Earl) Goring-Albino, Gail (Nigel)Seeberan-Pilgrim, Cindy( Darin)Seeberan-Austin and Nimla Seeberan.

Nephews: Gary(Sheryllan)Seeberan, Ian Goring, Kurt Goring, Jerome Hinkson.

Lifelong friends: Seeta McKnight, Jane Rankin, Jean Jennett and Lyn Thompson Ottley.

In her youth, Lyn was a registered nurse and worked at the San Fernando General Hospital in San Fernando Trinidad. She migrated to the United States in the early 1970’s. As a new immigrant living in Brooklyn, New York, she continued to be a productive part of her new community. She worked as a registered nurse at Brookdale, Interfaith and SUNY Downstate Hospitals.

As the 70’s turned into the 80’s, Lyn found love the 2nd time around with David St Hill. David hailed from Guyana and swept the lovely Lyn off of her feet. Their marriage produced 3 boys. Lyn decided to devote her life to her husband and sons and became a stay at home mom.

After many years of calling Brooklyn New York home, the family moved to Margate Fl. in the year 2000. This is where she called home for the past 23 years until her passing on June 5th, 2023.
