Lawrence Charles Gold passed away July 5th, 2025, at 3pm in his home, surrounded by his family. Larry was born on November 8, 1934, in The Bronx, New York to William and Bella Gold. Larry married the love of his life, Elaine, on December 30, 1961, and they had two wonderful sons. In 1980, Larry, Elaine and their boys moved to Coral Springs. He spent the last 27 years of his life in Boynton Beach, Florida.
Larry was so proud to show off his beautiful wife everywhere they went. They loved to travel together, raised two wonderful sons and they were inseparable. His greatest joy came from spending time with his family and seeing them happy. He loved to watch his grandchildren play sports as he loudly cheered them on from the sidelines. Larry was a man who loved to tell jokes and was a true people person. He loved meeting new people and making them smile and laugh. His career in the furniture industry as a manufacturers’ representative gave him the opportunity to create new relationships. He loved his work so much that he worked well into his eighties. Larry was also an incredible athlete. As a child, he played baseball and basketball. He played basketball and softball well into his sixties and then found a love for playing tennis and pickleball which he played into his eighties.
Larry is survived by his wife, Elaine, brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Andy, children Matthew (Suzy), Douglas (Lisa), grandchildren Max, Bari and Kobe, bonus grandchildren Jordan, Matt, Jacob, Miles and Lilly and many adoring nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.
