Richard was born and raised in Washington D.C. as the youngest of four brothers. He graduated from Medical School at the University of Maryland. After his internship at Jackson Memorial Hospital, he was drafted into the U.S. Army, where he served as a Captain in Vietnam. He did his medical residency at Georgetown Medical Center and later a fellowship at the University of Florida. Richard practiced as a Radiologist for over thirty years until his retirement.
Always devoted to his family, he enjoyed listening to music, watching the news, reading car magazines, playing the guitar, visiting Disney World and dining out. A beloved husband, father and grandfather, he was known for his quick-witted sense of humor. He is survived by his wife, two children and a grandchild.
