Born and raised in Philadelphia, Rebecca was an outstanding wife of 78 years to the late Martin Barmack, mother to Almabetty Brooke, Lauren Barmack, and Rhonda Newport, "second mother" (MIL) to John Vlachos, Stephen Newport, and the late James Brooke, grandmother to Aaron Brooke, Shira Brooke, and Myles Vlachos, "second grandmother" (GIL) to Angela Brooke and great-grandmother to Alexa and Aubrey Brooke.
In her own right, Rebecca was an accomplished actress and singer, a top-quality cook and hostess, and a cherished friend to many. Her zest for life and generosity of spirit will inspire all who knew her and live on in our hearts and our actions.
An unveiling and memorial is planned for the spring for both Rebecca and Martin, who passed on April 30, 2021.

A private funeral service for Rebecca will be held Friday, December 30, 2022 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at Star of David Memorial Gardens Cemetery and Funeral Chapel, 7701 Bailey Road, North Lauderdale, FL 33068. Following the funeral service will be a graveside service from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at AARON 2- Star of David Memorial Gardens Cemetery and Funeral Chapel, 7701 Bailey Road, North Lauderdale, FL 33068.
