Robert was my friend since elementary school. He was the toughest kid in school and I was probably the weakest. He chased away the bullies and protected me. When we were little we walked together, then we grew and rode bikes together, then we got our licenses and drove all over. We fixed broken stuff, caught reptiles and kept them as pets, did sleep overs and pigged out on Doritos together. Shared ridiculous short videos on FB that made me laugh. A life long friend Robert was. His loss is beyond sudden. He had a heart of solid gold and would do anything for the people he loved. He was my guardian angel in this life and I know he is a guardian angel in the next. My deepest sympathies to Brandon, Gabby, and Michael and all that knew and loved him.

I am truly sorry for your loss. Please know that my thoughts are with you and your family during this difficult time. Robert will be missed.

Today I want to celebrate the life of Robert Glazer, a man who was not only a leader, but also a friend, a mentor, and a source of light to all who knew him.

Robert cared deeply about people. He believed that leadership was not about titles or authority, but about lifting others up, creating trust, and building teams where everyone felt valued. Those of us who had the privilege of working with him know that he set the standard for how a manager should treat their people—with respect, compassion, and unwavering support.

But Robert also had a gift that went beyond leadership. He had the ability to set the tone in any room. Whether it was through his wisdom, his calm presence, or his perfectly timed jokes, he reminded us that even in the most serious moments, laughter and humanity matter.

I was fortunate to call Robert my boss, but over time, he became so much more than that—he became a true friend. His guidance shaped my career, but his friendship shaped my life.

I will never forget one of his favorite sayings: “You pick your vendor, you pick your problems!” It was classic Robert practical, witty, and always a reminder that choices matter. Those words, like so many of his lessons, will stay with me forever.

The world has lost someone far too soon. But Robert’s legacy lives on in the teams he built, the friendships he nurtured, and the countless lives he touched.

Robert, we will miss your humor, your wisdom, and your heart. Gone too soon, but never forgotten. May you rest in peace.
