Every day we miss Sam’s warm smile and her bright spirit. Our hearts are full of love for her parents and for everyone she touched. Sam will always be in our fondest memories.

Dear Karen and Alan,
Stuart and I are grateful that we have the opportunity here to reach out to you and offer our heartfelt sympathy.  Although our paths have not crossed in years, we treasure the friendship we shared so many years ago through DPHDS and the Harbor Beach Cabana Club! We're so sorry today's message is for such sadness and tragedy. May you be comforted among the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem and in knowing so many people care about you.   Samantha possessed more strength, energy and courage than any child should ever need and we wish you the same now as you try to build lasting memories of your amazing angel. Her optimism, kindness and generous nature brought out the best in others.  May Samantha's memory always be for an enormous blessing and may you know of no more sorrow.

I'm profoundly sorry to hear of Samantha's passing. She was such a kind person. I remember after each of my Scoliosis surgeries in middle and high school, she was one of the first Posnackers to reach out and was very sweet and empathetic. Even though I was a few years older, I was always *very* fond of her.

I remember you welcoming me on my first day at Posnack in third grade. We became so close after that, you were my best friend at the time. I have such great memories of us as kids. Even though we lost touch after graduation, we always had a great deal of respect for one another. We practically grew up together... You were truly amazing to see how in 6th grade you were battling cancer. I didn't understand it at the time, but you showed such amazing strength. You are a true hero and I will always take that with me.

I have so many memories of birthdays and play dates and school functions. Shira and Samantha shared so many wonderful times! Shira even insisted we sign her up for dance because Samantha was in dance. My heart is with you💜

Once in a lifetime God sends an angel down to earth for a short time to teach us how to live, to love, to laugh and to appreciate what we have. That angel is Sam and in her short life she taught us: how to be brave in the face of insurmountable odds as she battled Cancer; how to live each day as if it is your last by pushing the limits at times; by finding humor in every day occurrences and comfort with family, friends and pets she loved. Recently I shared a car ride with Sam and we talked for 3 hours about the world, about love and about her life. I asked if she was happy and she replied with a resounding YES!  I know Sam would want us to remember her that way. Happy and loved by all. Give Nan and Harvey a kiss from me Sam. Heaven will be brighter with you there!  I love you and will miss you.

I knew Samantha from Temple Beth Torah, she was only 2 years of age she was in class with my son Justin.  Her blue eyes & smile were infectious!! She had proud parents Karen & Alan. We then followed each other with our kids to David Posnack Hebrew Day school.  Samantha was a ball of fire , I think that’s why me & her mom got along . Samantha was beautiful, smart & clever sometimes I didn’t think she realized it but her mom always let her know.  She was kind when I gave birth to my daughter Samantha she proudly gave me all her personalized items to my Samantha.  We all lost touch for a while but we reconnected on FB and she in boxed me & caught me up to let me know she was Happy !! I will miss her !! She beat cancer in middle school this is so unfair. My heart is broken my sincere condolences to Karen & Alan & her fiancé & family & friends. May she Rest In Peace and May her memory always stay alive !!

I’ve known Sam since I was born. We grew up together. We spent countless nights having sleepovers, going to theatre and watching Friends, which was always her favorite show. There are too many memories together to name and I will cherish them all. Although there were many good times there we tough ones too - like watching her fight her battle with Leukemia, and come out stronger in the end. She could do anything she set her mind to. I never saw someone so young and strong. Sam has and always will be an inspiration to me. No matter what each of us went through, no matter how far the distance between us, we always remained close; and always picked up just where we left off. We weren’t just best friends, we were sisters and always will be. No words can express the devastation and heart break I feel. Sam was an amazing person both inside and out, with a heart of gold. She made more of an impact on this world in her short years than most of us do in a lifetime. My mind can’t process that she’s no longer here. I write this memory feeling numb and in disbelief. Sam will be deeply missed by everyone she touched. I love you Sam. Rest In Peace my beautiful best friend. Your memory will live on in all of us.
