The Stewart family wishes to express their sadness with news of Richard Sauber's death.  We just became aware of his passing, and we want everyone to know how highly we respected and regarded 'Dr. Sauber' for his contribution to the practice of family psychology.  May he rest in peace.

Through the years we had so many memories together. We always laughed together and every opportunity you had, you wanted to practice your new salsa steps with me to impress me, and you always did. We were with you to the end as promised. We dearly miss you and love you very much!! 

Fifty-Four years ago.  I stood in a line of new students of a college in New Jersey.  I never thought I could go to college.  I never thought I was smart enough.  But here I was in a line of young students registering for a first term.  I had an application in my hand that I had to fill out.  It asked for a major subject to be chosen.  I had never thought of what subject that  I would major in.   So I tapped the young man in front of me and asked him what he was majoring in.  He said Psychology.  I then said "how do you spell that".  That young man in front of me was Richard Sauber.  I became his roommate and later his friend, brother, business partner, co-author and he became part of my family.   We were faithful to one another in life.  I do not know life without Richard.  I kept my promises and now I feel an emptiness.  My daughter and my wife love Richard dearly.  We  feel the pain of your loss.  We have always been there for one another.  A friendship for life and bothers forever, Daniel Robert and Ivy. Yessica and Elsy love. you. We are  one family with you as an important part of this extended  family.  Your faithful friend Daniel Robert.  Oh and another faithful friend Jeffrey Block sends his love. 

Will always remember helping our neighbor ‘Richard’ move his patio furniture into his house and a very HEAVY metal medieval statue, and closing shutters on second story, anticipating a hurricane, maybe Irma.
