She was born June 28, 1915, in Scranton, AR, to August and Laura Bollweg Neumeier. A life-long faithful Catholic, she was devoted to her family and was the one who took care of everyone, including her parents until their deaths. She lived in the Fort Smith area for over 70 years, then lived several years in Scottsdale, AZ and Dallas, TX before returning to Arkansas in December 2015. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Meinrad Jansen; two brothers, Harry Neumeier and Steve Neumeier; and two daughters-in-law, Elizabeth Hensen Jansen and Janice Fehmer Jansen.
She is survived by six children, Mary Lou Meyer (Ed) of Scottsdale, AZ, Jim Jansen (Karol) of Dallas, TX, Larry Jansen of Highlands Ranch, CO, Mike Jansen (Pam) of Fort Smith, AR, Judy Rogers (Ken) of Scottsdale, AZ, and Laura Thompson (Davis) of Sherwood; 20 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ann Sharum of Barling, AR, and JoAnn Holloway of Chester, VA; and one brother, Gerald Neumeier of Scranton, AR.

Funeral Mass will be held at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Fort Smith at 10 am Friday, June 25, followed by burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, Fort Smith. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Boniface Catholic Church, 820 North B St., Fort Smith, AR 72901 or to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 7000 JFK Blvd., North Little Rock, AR 72116.
