David “Dave” Lynn Sixta of Hot Springs, Arkansas, formerly of Kansas City Missouri, died Thursday, December 28. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Gadberry Sixta, daughters, Kimberly Sixta (Jeff), Nikki Sixta (Brad), and stepdaughter, Kelley James. Dave was preceded by his parents, Rudy and Gabriella Sixta and brother Rudy “Junior” Sixta. Surviving siblings are Mary Jo Robards, Annette Como, Lisa Preston, Suzanne Zumont, Michelle Sixta, Paul Sixta, and Tim Sixta. Dave has eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Dave lived a colorful and adventuresome life. Best known for lively character and love for people. Dave was described by his coworkers as a “standup guy”. An intense love for music and sports; he was an amazing statistician with an incredible memory for detail. Throughout Dave’s life he formed lasting friendships with hundreds of people, remaining in contact with them to this day. His friends and family were very special, and he never hesitated to say “I love you” to them.
At Dave’s request, there will be no service. His words are “go out and have a drink in my memory”.
