Edmund Berkeley Copeland, 71, of Sherwood passed away on Thursday, July 26, 2018. He was born in Memphis, Tennessee on October 30, 1946 to parents Edmund Berkeley Copeland, Sr. and Janalice Copeland. He was an Eagle Scout. Berkeley grew up in North Little Rock. He graduated from North Little Rock High School in 1965 and attended the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. He was a member of the Lakewood United Methodist Church. Berkeley coached American Legion baseball for over 30 years.
Berkeley began his career with General Electric Credit, becoming the Branch Manager in Tupelo, Mississippi. He served as VP at Associate Pharmacy and Purchasing Manager with Affiliated Foods. He later worked for Forrest City Grocery and wound up his career with Acosta before retiring.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 36 years, Mary Ann Copeland of Sherwood; his mother, Janalice Copeland, son, William Edmund (Shelly) Copeland of Cabot; step-sons James Wesley Willis of San Antonio and Robert William (Rachel) Willis of Little Rock; eight grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; sisters, Ann Adametz and Janice Ritchie. He is preceded in death by his father.
