Frances A. Daharsh

Frances Daharsh, a beloved mother, nurse, and adventurer, aged 76, passed away on January 26, 2024, in Cabot, Arkansas. She was born on February 6, 1947, in Coalinga, California, and spent her early years moving frequently due to her father's career in the Navy. This nomadic childhood instilled in her a lifelong love for travel and exploration.

After graduating from Bakersfield College Nursing Program in 1977, Frances embarked on a remarkable 40-year career as a Registered Nurse. Her dedication to the profession was evident in the compassionate care she provided to countless patients over the decades.

Frances's passion for travel saw her setting the ambitious goal of driving through every state in the U.S., a testament to her adventurous spirit. Her travels were accompanied by her love for photography, capturing the essence of each place she visited in hundreds of photo albums. Frances was also known for her enthusiasm for sweepstakes, a hobby that took her to conventions nationwide.

As a mother, Frances ensured that life at home was filled with the same spirit of adventure that defined her. Her children fondly remember annual trips to Disneyland, hikes in Yosemite, Grand Canyon and can now laugh at the memory of begging not to visit the La Brea Tar Pits for the third time. She worked tirelessly to provide for her family and her favorite drink, Coca Colas which was always a staple in the household.

Frances is lovingly remembered by her three children, John, Ruby, and Curtis; her brother Robert; several grandchildren, and cousins. She leaves behind a legacy of love, adventure, and care that will continue to inspire those who knew her.
