Dad it's me once again. I was just thinking about you. We just purchased a new house, I wish you were here to see it. I believe you would be proud. It was Exactly what we prayed and asked the Lord for? No competition just my husband and I setting family goals. I Love You Dad and I hope you are proud.

Good afternoon.  Just wanted to say that you was on my mind, and that you will forever be missed. Looking back now, I realized the things you told us, really 'hit home now, and that you was doing the best you can, with what you had... you always told me that one day I would understand, and guess what, I DO NOW!! At 42yrs old, I'M STILL LEARNING.. I never knew life would be like this, and all the hardships I face now, is a reflection of what you had experienced long ago. Nevertheless, the advice you gave was priceless, and will never be forgotton. Love you always and forever!

Hey Dad, It’s me again . You know  Christmas is around the corner. I cannot believe this will be the second one without you. I can see you laughing and saying I’m going to get you the same thing I got you last year. lol  I can remember what you say verbatim. You were so funny. Rest Easy Dad. I  remember you on a Daily. I know you really be hearing me talk to you on a Daily.

The 8th of September was one year that you have been gone.  Time really flies. I really miss you today as  did a year ago. Forever in my heart.

It is almost a year since you have left us but it still seems like yesterday.  I hear certain songs you would listen to and it reminds me of you . It just makes me smile. I know you are watching over me and I know even when I get sad you would wipe my face and say Puddin  it’s ok. Let it ride baby girl.  Love you Dad.

Dad, I was sitting here thinking about you. You were always Brutally honest. I Loved that about you. I was listening to Al Green and I could see you playing your electric guitar with your speaker singing and laughing . You use to love your guitar. Green Onions by Howling Wolf was our favorite song.  Anyway  just know I Love You and I think of you often. We had a Blast together.

Papa you were the epitome of strength from your legendary hugs that you had to have a STRONG back for! To the aftershave and crisp cuts you not only gave self but others as well. When you would laugh your laugh would make me laugh. And boy did he not play any time I saw him I would think in my mind 10 HUT! He made you want to straighten up. Al green was your favorite to me you sound just like him I will never be able to listen to him without thinking about you.  I will love you always papa forever.

Whenever I think of you Brother James a smile come across my face because of your sense of humor. James  you were  a good kind hearted  person who lived your life like you wanted to. Rest in peace my brother.  Your memories will always live on in the hearts of so many. You will truly be missed.

I had the pleasure of serving with James in the Navy. He was a hard working and sharp Petty Officer. He knew his stuff and made my job a lot easier. He will be truly missed. Fair Winds and Following Seas Shipmate. May you rest in peace.

James O. Murray aka "Brother" was loved by my family and especially our mother, Gussie Witcher.  She loved him like he was her own son.  She would get so excited every few years when they had to relocate for the military. They would come home and stay until they were re-stationed.  
James was the first Brother-In-Law I knew. He treated me kindly, always had a big hug for me and loved to sing gospel songs.  He was a great song leader and a good hearted person.  His laugh was infectious. 
I looked up to him.  I always thought that he was unaffraid and a free spirit.  I can't say that I ever saw him without a smile on his face. We will truly miss him.💖💖💖

As we gather on Friday to celebrate the life of our dear friend, James Otis Murray, let us remember the laughter, love, and joy he brought into our lives. May his memory inspire and uplift us as we navigate this world without him. We can honor his legacy and cherish our shared moments as friends and classmates.
