February 7, 1986 – July 20, 2025
Karen Prine, age 39, of Jacksonville, Arkansas, passed away surrounded by love. A devoted wife, nurturing mother, and compassionate nurse, Karen found her calling caring for veterans at the VA Hospital—a role she embraced wholeheartedly and with grace.
Though she discovered nursing later in life, Karen’s passion burned brightly, evident in every patient she tended, every late-night shift she worked, and every life she touched with her empathy. She approached healing as both a science and an art.
Outside of work, Karen’s soul thrived on creativity. She found joy in drawing, crocheting, and diving into the rich worlds of fantasy fiction, where dragons roamed and magic stirred. Her love for the spooky and mysterious brought a playful charm to everything she created, and her home was a tapestry woven with handmade treasures and haunting stories.
She is survived by her loving husband, Drew, and her three children—Hunter, Wyatt, and Felicity:her parents, John and Leslie Wohlfiel — who will carry her legacy in the strength of her love and the sparks of imagination she gifted them.
Karen’s life was a beautiful blend of care and creativity. She gave more than she ever asked for and left the world warmer, kinder, and infinitely more magical.
“May her next great adventure be as wondrous as the worlds she adored.”
