Leon was born in Crabtree AR to William C. {Bill} and Mildred Page and lived most of his life in Sylvan Hills and North Little Rock AR.
He is preceded in death by his wife Betty Page; Parents, Bill and Mildred Page and son Kelly Page.
Born the younger of two boys, he loved his brother but was competitive, somewhere out there is a story that includes shovels and dynamite, and lots of brotherly tussles…
Leon was an avid outdoorsman. Could shoot a bow, throw a hatchet and throw up a camp anywhere.
He loved to float the Piney and Buffalo Rivers, which was always an adventure to be had. He enjoyed hunting, a good round of golf, and had a love for track and running marathons. He enjoyed cooking and baking cakes, had a love for leather work, architecture and could build just about anything he put his mind to.
He loved God and church and was a member of Trinity Faith Tabernacle in Greenbrier AR and First Assembly of God in North Little Rock. He participated with the Royal Rangers and loved teaching the youth about the Lord and outdoor skills. He always looked forward to the cardboard boat races and the pinewood derby.
Leon was very patriotic and proud to have served in the USMC 1959-1963 “B”Co., 1stBn, 2nd InfTrngRegt.
He loved his kids and grandkids and everybody’s kids. He taught us to work hard and finish what you start. To always be helpful when someone was in need. Not to start a fight but make sure you finish it.
For a few years there was some kind of critter in the house at random: rabbits who used a litter box, ducks, pot belly pig, cats, and a squirrel.
There are so many priceless moments of love and laughter with friends and family.
