On Tuesday, April 20th, 2021, Linda Kay Green, loving wife of Gerald (Jerry) Green, passed away at the age of 76. She was born on November 27,1944 to Florence and Earl Jones in Baton Rouge, LA. She was a graduate of North Little Rock High School, as well as a Bachelor of Nursing graduate from the University of Central Arkansas. She worked for Baptist Health for 38 years and the Arkansas Heart Hospital for 15 years. She married Gerald (Jerry) Green in April of 1990, allowing her to become a loving stepmother to Gerald’s two girls—Robyn Green Hamilton and Angela Green Jones.
Linda loved being a nurse. She was also a Sunday school teacher for many years and loved
making crafts of all kinds with the children. She was also very active in her choir at church and a
wonderful piano player. Her and her husband are avid fans of the Arkansas Travelers baseball team and could always be found right behind home plate at every home game. Her grandkids were the light of her life and she would always be at their extracurricular activities.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents – Florence Emily (Hudelson) Jones and Earl T Jones of North Little Rock, Arkansas, grandson—Toby Wyatt Jones and stepdaughter—Angela Green Jones.
Her relatives left behind are her loving husband of 31 years—Gerald Green. Her stepdaughter—Robyn (Jamie) Hamilton and her two children, Kathryn and Kerri Hamilton. Her
stepdaughter’s husband—Jeremy Jones and their children, Kolton and Caroline Jones. Her
sister—Barbara Jones Estep (James) and her children, 3 nieces and 2 nephews and 14 great grand nieces and nephews. Her brother and sister in laws-- James (Annette) Green, Rollie (Donna) Green, and Liz Green.
The funeral service will be held at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills (7724 Landers Rd., North Little Rock,
AR, 72117) on Sunday, April 25th, 2021. The visitation will begin at 1:00pm, followed by funeral services at 2:00pm. In place of flower donations, donations would be appreciated to the Wounded Warrior Fund.
