Ray E. Smalling, 83, went to be with his Lord on Saturday, January 24, 2026. Ray was a lifelong resident of North Little Rock. He graduated from Sylvan Hills High School. He served in the United States Army from 1967-1969 and is a Vietnam War Veteran. Ray enjoyed rodeos and watching old western movies, camping, and traveling, and of course his beloved dogs, Wilson and Rowdy, and his long-horned bull, Rocky. Ray will be missed by many.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Thelma Smalling; his beloved grandson, Cody Edward Smalling; and his niece, Kelley Smalling.
He is survived by one son, Todd E. Smalling and his wife Tracy; two grandchildren, Meagan and Clayton; four great-grandchildren, Peyton, Makenzie, Landon, and Mika; and one brother, Jim Smalling and his wife Denise.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, North Little Rock, Arkansas, on February 17, 2026 at 1:00 PM.
