He was born January 3, 1934, in Waltham, Massachusetts, to John and Beatrice MacArthur. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Judith E. MacArthur, a grandson, Caleb R. White, and by four siblings.
Richard served in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War and retired after 20 years of service. He was a member of the Jacksonville V.F.W. Post 4548.
He was an avid deer hunter and fisherman.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Yvonne MacArthur; two daughters, Linda Dillie and Lori (Sean) White; son, Kevin MacArthur; four stepchildren, Dewayne (Mary) Howell, Martha Jones, Cindy Howell and Alisa Lack; and by a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A memorial service with military honors will be held on Thursday, August 2, at 9:00 a.m. at the Arkansas State Veteran’s Cemetery, 1501 West Maryland Avenue, North Little Rock.
