Sharon graduated from Old Main High School in North Little Rock and went on to attend University of Arkansas at Little Rock, where she earned her degree in Mathematics with a teaching certification. She had a passion for mathematics and a heart for helping others, making her calling as a teacher a natural fit. She taught for several years at Central Arkansas Christian Schools before concluding her teaching career in Pulaski County Adult Education.
Sharon loved the Lord and was a longtime member of Maumelle Church of Christ. In recent years, she worshiped at Marche Church of Christ. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and doting Nana. She was happiest when all her children and grandchildren were gathered under one roof. Holidays, family vacations, and simply being together brought her immense joy.
For twenty years, Sharon bravely battled cancer with remarkable strength, grace, and faith. She has now been healed completely and welcomed into her eternal reward.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Oren and Betty McSwain; her brother, Phillip McSwain; and her grandson, Bryce Moran.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 49 years, James Moran; her children, Marissa Means, Stephen (Ashley) Moran, and Alicia (Clayton) Maddox; her grandchildren, Ethan, Avery, Jack, Kaylee, Jonah, and Skylar; her sister, Beverly McSwain; her cousin, Brenda Womack along with many beloved relatives and dear friends.
Until we meet again... "Love ya bunches!"
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the compassionate staff at CHI St. Vincent in Little Rock, Briarwood Nursing & Rehab, and to Arkansas Hospice for their exceptional care and support. They extend special thanks to Dr. Brad Baltz for the compassionate care he provided Sharon over the past twenty years.
The family kindly requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Southern Christian Home, or The SEARCH Program
