Shirley N. Fowler, 85, of Sherwood, Arkansas ascended to Heaven on Thursday, March 3, 2022. Shirley was born in Centralia, Illinois on October 3, 1936; the daughter of Floyd and Maude (Littlejohn) Wimpey. Shirley had worked for many years at Arkansas Children’s Hospital, where she scheduled surgeries. She married her husband Leo N. Fowler in 1954, and they shared 50 years of marriage until his passing in 2004. Shirley was a member of the First Christian Church on Kiel Ave in Sherwood, Arkansas, as well as being a member of The Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed designing floral arrangement for the church, and she loved to create paintings.
Shirley leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter Lynn Houser of Sherwood, Arkansas, and her granddaughter Leesa Bryant and her husband James of Greenbrier, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Leo N. Fowler.
A committal prayer will be said for Shirley on Tuesday, March 8 at 11:00 AM IN Rest Hills Memorial Park in North Little Rock, Arkansas, followed by burial beside her husband. Her family wishes donation in her honor be made to the First Christian Church of Sherwood in lieu of flowers.
