Steve Horvatincic

He was born on January 17, 1934, in Versailles Borough, Pennsylvania.

Steve grew up in Pennsylvania and graduated from McKeesport High School. At a young age, he answered the call to serve his country and joined the United States Air Force, dedicating 20 years of honorable service. He retired as a Senior Master Sergeant in 1974 while stationed in Dover, Delaware.

After his military career, Steve moved to Sherwood, Arkansas, where he began a second career as a mortgage banker. He worked in the industry for many years before fully retiring in 1990.

Steve lived a full and vibrant life. He and his wife Margaret shared a love for dancing and traveling, creating special memories both across the country and overseas. Together, they were a graceful sight on the dance floor, and their shared joy was evident to all who knew them. A man of deep faith, Steve was a longtime member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in North Little Rock.

Steve was preceded in death by his first wife, Madge Horvatincic; his son, Vincent Horvatincic; his parents, Stephen and Anna Horvatincic; his siblings, Florence Penick, Louise Cleveger, Kathleen Petrovich, and John Horvat.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Margaret (Kolb) Horvatincic; his daughter, Shelly Somori (Dr. Gabriel J.); and his brother, Dr. James V. Horvatincic. He also leaves behind his stepdaughters, Cindy Huffman (John), Dana Pollard (Mark), and Sharon Kolb; his grandson, Tristan Cripps (Lauren); three step-grandchildren—Jennifer Harvey, Jeremy Huffman, and Sammy Pollard; eight step-great-grandchildren; one great-great-step-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.

The family wishes to extend sincere gratitude to Arkansas Hospice and Seniors Serving Seniors for their kind and compassionate care during Steve’s final days.

A visitation for Steve will be held Thursday, June 19, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home, 7724 Landers Road, North Little Rock, AR 72117. A funeral service will occur Thursday, June 19, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 7724 Landers Road, North Little Rock, AR 72117. A committal / military honors will occur Thursday, June 19, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Rest Hills Memorial Park, 7724 Landers Road, North Little Rock, AR 72117.
