He attended high school in Danville, IL. He joined the United States Army January 3, 1956 and was discharged January 5, 1959. Tom retired from the United States Post Office. He was a faithful member of the First Assembly of God Church of North Little Rock, Arkansas. His passions included: Jesus Christ, old cars, and spending time with his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Herbert Monroe , Marguierta Rouse-Monroe; siblings: Dave Rouse,Wayne Monroe, Wilma Monroe-Runyon,Sarabelle Monroe-Nield, and Jim Monroe.
Survived by, Gerald Rouse; wife of 41 years Peggy Monroe nee Shoemaker; daughter: Leslie Monroe-Grenneau; granddaughter: Brianna Grenneau; stepdaughter, Darla Simmons-Ferriss: stepson:Curt Simmons and Wife Colleen; granddaughter: Sara Simmons-Fleehart; great grandchildren: Brannon Fleehart, and Lena Fleehart.
