A proud police officer for 42 years, died Wednesday, May 22 from health complications. He was 73.
Tony was born in Manhattan, NY on November 11, 1950. He was predeceased by his parents, Anthony Joseph Parvis Sr., Catherine Miele Parvis, and sisters Lucille Parvis Escobar and Deborah Marie Parvis. He grew up in an Italian community in New York and moved to FL in 1973. He lived and served in South Florida for 51 years.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Deborah, of Coconut Creek, FL, daughter Deanna (Marc) Guiseppi of Williamsburg, VA, son Ron Parvis of Midlothian, VA, Grandchildren Lyndsey, Madisyn, and Ryley Guiseppi, Jordan and Dominic Parvis, sister in law Diane Aydelotte, brother in law Tex Knight, nephew JD (Bryan) Escobar Jr. and great nephews Triston and Marcus. Tony’s grandchildren were the absolute delight of his life, and he was affectionately known to them as Pops.
Tony served in the United States Army for five years and the United States National Guard for seven years. He was a law enforcement officer who served in the communities of Sunrise, FL and Coconut Creek, FL. Tony was a member of the Coconut Creek Honor Guard and a trainer for the Broward County Honor Guard. He was also actively involved in the Fraternal Order of Police, serving in numerous leadership positions over the years. Tony was a proud member of the ROMEO motorcycle club and especially enjoyed riding with his fellow motorcycle enthusiasts in the annual Christmas Toy Run. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and fellow law enforcement brothers and sisters.
